İkitelli Store and Showroom Shelving Systems
In İkitelli OSB, home to more than 24,000 businesses: showroom, sample display area and back-stock shelving, with installation planned down to the block address.
For İkitelli shelving systems, Ataşehir-based Kare Raf produces showroom, sample display and back-stock solutions for the İkitelli Organized Industrial Zone. Let's clarify one thing up front, because the quote and the delivery plan depend on it: İkitelli is not a district.
İkitelli OSB is a neighborhood of the Başakşehir district, and according to the zone's own statement, roughly 95% of the organized industrial zone lies within Başakşehir and 5% within Küçükçekmece. The "İkitelli" locality name also spans these two districts. The Zone Directorate's address is in İkitelli OSB Mahallesi, on Süleyman Demirel Boulevard.
Trade and Manufacturing in İkitelli OSB
With 24,864 active businesses and 38 cooperatives across 7 million m², İOSB is one of Turkey's largest mixed organized industrial zones. Its occupancy rate is around 90%, and employment exceeds 200,000.
The sector breakdown also tells you what the shelving need looks like: the largest share in the zone is leather and footwear (25%), followed by machinery and spare parts (14%), auto repair (12%), furniture (8%) and socks and knitwear (7%). In other words, most businesses here are manufacturers or wholesalers, and their premises are not classic retail stores but showrooms where the sample display area and the stock area are intertwined. Our experience with shoe store shelving systems applies directly in this zone.
The zone is made up of around 40 industrial sites; Aykosan, Dersan, Tümsan, İstanbul Keresteciler, Mutsan Mutfakçılar, İpkas Plastikçiler, Giyim Sanatları and Triko Dokumacıları are some of them. On the furniture side, MASKO Mobilya Kenti is also in İkitelli OSB Mahallesi. Retail, meanwhile, is concentrated in a few large locations such as Mall of İstanbul on Süleyman Demirel Boulevard and Deposite Outlet on Atatürk Boulevard.

How We Work in İkitelli
Here, the address is a technical matter. In İOSB it is practically impossible to find a business by street name alone; premises are identified by site–section–block codes such as "Tümsan 2. Kısım C Blok", "Aykosan 6'lı B Blok" or "Dersan S8 Blok". When booking the site visit, we confirm the block code with you and plan the delivery around it. Because the roads inside the sites are narrow and heavy-vehicle traffic is dense all day, we also agree the access and loading window in advance.
The zone is well connected: İOSB lies just north of the TEM motorway, and the MASKO, İkitelli Sanayi and Ziya Gökalp Mahallesi stations on the M9 line serve the area. That makes access easy for our team.
As for the work itself, demand in İkitelli has two layers: the sample display line the customer sees and the stock line behind it. On the display line, product visibility and quick changeability come first; on the stock line, carrying capacity and making use of the height. We plan both together in a single project.
Why Kare Raf?
İkitelli is one of Turkey's densest supplier basins for store equipment — sheet metal, wood and timber, plastics, coating and furniture manufacturing are all concentrated in the same zone. That means the businesses here know their materials. So we discuss material and sheet-thickness choices openly and explain what we recommend and why. Production takes place in our own factory, and our own team completes the installation.
Factors That Determine Shelving Prices in İkitelli
The table below summarizes the items we look at when preparing a quote for İkitelli; the exact figure comes after the site visit. For details, see our pricing page.
| Factor | Effect on Price |
|---|---|
| Display / stock ratio | A showroom's sample line and stock line call for different shelf types and profile sizes; how the footage is split between the two areas is the main item in the quote. |
| Carrying capacity | For heavy sample groups such as leather, footwear and furniture, the body sheet goes up to the top grade and the load-bearing profile gets thicker. |
| Using the ceiling height | Ceiling heights in OSB units are favorable; the more height is used, the more stock capacity grows, and the number of shelf levels and carriers is reflected in the cost. |
| Access and loading within the block | Roads inside the sites are narrow and heavy-vehicle traffic is dense; the access window and the floor/elevator situation affect installation labor. |
| Finish and concept | On the sample display line, wood panels, custom colors and in-shelf LED lighting raise the cost compared with standard powder-coated production. |
| Room for modular growth | If you plan to expand within the block later, the system is chosen so it can take add-on modules in the same size and color; this makes a small difference at the first installation and saves money afterwards. |

İkitelli is not a district. İkitelli OSB is a neighborhood of Başakşehir; roughly 95% of the organized industrial zone lies within Başakşehir and 5% within Küçükçekmece. When you give us your address, the site, section and block code is enough instead of the district — we plan the delivery around it.
In İOSB, addresses are identified by site–section–block codes such as "Tümsan 2. Kısım C Blok" or "Aykosan 6'lı B Blok". We confirm this code together when booking the site visit; finding an address by street name alone isn't practical in the zone.
Yes, that is the most common need in İkitelli. We plan the front line for sample visibility and quick changeability, and the back line for carrying capacity and use of height. Both are planned in a single project.
No, the site visit and measurement are free. We come from our Ataşehir base and schedule the appointment for a time when heavy-vehicle traffic in the zone allows.
Leather and footwear is the largest sector group in İkitelli OSB. For footwear we recommend sloped shelves and bracket layouts for single-item display, and high-capacity systems with adjustable shelf spacing for boxed stock. You can see the layout details on our shoe store shelving systems page.
