Store Wall Shelving Systems
Fully flexible store wall shelving built on the upright-and-bracket principle, turning the vertical space along your walls into selling space.

Wall shelving is a single-sided display system mounted on the store wall, made up of vertical uprights and the shelf brackets that clip into them. Because it turns the height of the wall into selling space without taking up any floor area, it is the cornerstone of space efficiency — especially in narrow stores.
Thanks to the upright-and-bracket design, shelf heights can be changed in seconds; when the season, a promotion or your product range changes, the store layout can be reworked without investing from scratch.
Where Is Wall Shelving Used?
It is used in virtually every sector where a store has wall runs to merchandise:
- Supermarkets, hardware stores and DIY shops
- Stationery, toy and housewares aisles
- Clothing, footwear and accessories stores (combined hanging rails and shelves)
- Pharmacies and medical retail (dense stock + fast access)
- Cosmetics and perfumery stores

Advantages of Wall Shelving
- Vertical space gain: Delivers display capacity all the way to the ceiling without occupying floor area.
- Total flexibility: Shelf brackets sit at any height along the upright; the layout changes easily.
- Single and double uprights: Depending on the store layout, uprights are chosen to carry one or two rows of shelves.
- Accessory-ready: Adapts to different product groups with label holders, hooks, hanging rails and glass shelves.
- Simple assembly/disassembly: Installs quickly, and can be dismantled and re-installed easily when the store relocates.
Wall Shelving Dimensions (Standard Values)
Because wall shelving is built on the upright-and-bracket principle, its dimensions are modular. Common standard values:
| Component | Standard Size | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Vertical upright length | 200 / 250 / 300 cm | Chosen to match ceiling height |
| Upright steel thickness | ~1.5 mm | For load resistance |
| Shelf bracket depth | 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 cm | Selected by product size |
| Upright type | Single / double | Carries one or two rows of shelves |
| Shelf spacing | Adjustable | Free along the slot pitch |
Upper shelves are usually chosen shallower than the lower ones, so customers looking down at the bay can see every level. Since each project is made to measure rather than mass-produced, the exact dimensions are set for your store during the site survey.
What to Consider When Choosing Wall Shelving
- Wall construction: The mounting method and load capacity differ between brick, concrete and drywall; solid anchoring is essential.
- Product weight: Choose thicker uprights and the right bracket depth for heavy goods.
- Height and reach: Plan the top shelf at a height staff can reach safely; the upper levels can be used for back-up stock.
- Material: Metal shelving delivers durability, wood-look shelving a warm atmosphere; choose the one that suits your brand.

Your questions answered
Wall shelving is a single-sided display system made up of vertical uprights mounted on the store wall and shelf brackets that clip into them. It turns the height of the wall into selling space without occupying any floor area.
Wall shelving uprights are typically produced in 200, 250 and 300 cm lengths with a steel thickness of around 1.5 mm. The right length is chosen to match the store's ceiling height.
Standard bracket depths are 20, 25, 30 and 35 cm. The right depth is selected by the size of the products on display; upper shelves are usually planned shallower.
It mounts securely on brick and concrete walls that allow solid anchoring. On drywall, the load capacity is limited; in that case the appropriate mounting method is determined during the site survey.
Wall shelving is ideal for display along the walls and for gaining space in narrow stores, while gondola shelving builds double-sided aisle runs in the middle of the floor. Most stores plan the two together.
